Jeremiah 17:14: "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."

We all have difficult times in our lives such as illness and death. We can't just cope with problems like this by ourselves. God is always with us to help us. My aunt recently had to go into surgery for cancer. It was an extremely sad time, but God helped me through it.

Dear Lord, let us help those who are ill or abandoned due to death to continue on with our lives. Amen.

Genesis 1:24: "And God said, 'Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.' And it was so."

I think there are all different kinds of animals including horses. Horses are my favorite kinds of animals because they are unique wonder animals. I have ridden horses all my life. I also had a bad experience.

Dear God, I pray for all the animals in the whole world that can and cannot be ridden. Thank you for all the animals. Amen.

Proverbs 2:6: "For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."

We all go to school to learn things. We use that knowledge to get jobs and own things. Where did the knowledge come from? It was God. From him we get wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. He gives us knowledge about nature and about Him so we grow in our faith.

Dear Lord, please help me grow in my knowledge of you and the world. Amen.

Mark 4:39: "He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still!' Then the wind died down and it was completely calm."

I would want you to know that Jesus is very nice, and you should believe in him. When Jesus calmed and stilled the waves, he was also thinking of what would have happened if he didn't calm and still the waves. If Jesus didn't do anything, the people on the boat and we would've died or something. Jesus saved the people. Jesus saves us when we go to heaven. When we go to heaven I will be proud to go to heaven, because then we will know that we believe in Jesus and the Bible and everyone around us.

I thank Jesus for saving us from this storm. I thank Jesus for saving the other people that are in trouble like we were. Amen.

John 14:18-19: "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live."

"All alone." When you feel alone look around and you will see the Lord. Maybe in a grain of wood from an old tan wall or a reflection off a backboard during a free throw. "All alone" a metaphor for nothing only, because God is with us no matter what. All alone is never alone.

Dear Lord, when we feel alone let us know that you are near. When we feel afraid save us from all fear. Amen.

Matthew 5:43-44: "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

There are people who we hate. But we must learn to get along with them. I wouldn't write names because that would be cruel.

Dear Lord, let us get along with our foes. Amen.

Hebrews 11:1-2: "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for."

"What Faith Means to Me." Faith is my comfort zone. It's somewhere where I can go and I won't feel like I'm being judged. I feel safe and whole and not alone. I feel like for once I'm not an outcast and that there are other people like me for once.

Lord, thank you for you, because without you I don't know if I'd be here now. Amen.
