John 14:6 Jesus said unto him,” I am the way, the truth, and the life. No ones comes to the Father except by me.”
I Am, that I Am, the great God of the Old Testament, one of the names for God, is the God of the New Testament, Jesus Christ. Deity This is the 6th “I Am” statement of Jesus in John. Jesus declares He is the way to God and He is the Truth of God, and the Life of God. In this verse Jesus tells us the only way to the Father is through Him, Jesus Christ. There is no other way.
Father, I thank you for sending your Son Jesus to save us, lead us and guide us. Help me be a light to others that are in darkness that they may come to know you, Amen |

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but has everlasting life”
I believe most children learned this verse as a young child in Sunday school or on their grandmother or grandfather’s knee. God so loved, great words of comfort. He loved the world so much that He sent His son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins and died in our place on the cross. This verse is a two part verse; the first part is about God’s love for us and the second part is all we have to do is believe in Him, Jesus.
Gracious Lord, thank you for what you have done in my life and the lives of so many others. I rest upon your Word and give you all my cares and burdens I carry. God, you have a heart of mercy. Amen |

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 It is God who makes you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
God, Christ, Spirit, sounds like the Trinity doesn’t it? The Holy Spirit sets apart believers and empowers them for the service of the gospel. The Holy Spirit is God’s agent in this world. Believers have been sealed with the Holy Spirit.
I thank you my Lord for all you’ve done for me and are continuing to do in my life and the life of the church. Help us to be strong and full of courage to preach and share your message of redemption with others. Send us forth to accomplish what you will have us to do in your power as we could never do anything without it. Amen |

Psalm 86: 11 “Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.”
Today it is so easy to be distracted and turn our eyes away from our Lord. Family, church, meetings, school, work, all of these things are important but sometimes have a way of drawing all our attention. We need to keep God in our life as number one, putting Him first. He desires the hearts of all of us to be fully devoted to Him. Putting God first, family second, and our work third keeps things in proper perspective.
Heavenly Father my heart belongs to you. I lift my family to you for protection, our church family and others that they may come to know you in a deeper way. Help me to keep my focus on you O Lord. I bless you, Amen |

Ephesians 3:14-15 “For this reason I bow my knees to the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named”
Paul is speaking of an act of worship to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture gives several verses throughout the bible of ways in which we express praise and worship. Isaiah and Philippians says, “every knee shall bow, every tongue confess,” both are acts of worship which comes from the heart. Falling prostrate on our face before God means total dependency on Him.
Lord, I am totally dependant on you. You are the giver of life. Jesus, the cross was made for me, a sinner, but you took my place. You forgave all my sins and rebellious nature. Keep me strong and full of your Spirit. Let me hear your voice, Amen |

2 Samuel 6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids and his servants, as one of the base fellows shamefully uncovers himself”
Read the rest of the chapter to find out more about David’s dancing before the Lord. He had taken off his kingly robes and wore only the shortened, priestly ephod. He also told Michal he will play music before the Lord. David wasn’t ashamed to dance or play music before the Lord. Sometimes we are quick to laugh at the way others worship. Some lift their hands unto the Lord, others shut their eyes in prayer, some sway, some just sit and sing softly. All is scriptural, look it up in God’s Word. God punished Michal and was made barren because of laughing at David in an unkind way.
Lord, teach me to lift my heart to you as you would want me to do and not be ashamed at what others would think. I will lift up my hands to you, sing praises to you, fall on my face before you, and bow my heart before you Amen

2Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
God-breathed, Paul is telling us that God had an active involvement in writing both the Old and New Testaments. It is interesting that the New testament wasn’t written yet so this verse is for the Old Testament writings and the New. 2Peter 20 - 21 says, “above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation, For prophecy never had it’s origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God, as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
Thank you Lord for your guidance given to us in your Word. You sent us Jesus, the living Word, and the written Word. You’ve given us the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. Watch over us and lead and guide us as we carry out the Great Commission you’ve given us. Amen |
