"A Year of Prayer: 2004-2005"

Exciting things are happening in the Northern Great Lakes Synod! 2004-2005 is a time to re-energize our prayer life as individuals, congregations, and a synod. As part of that emphasis, we are in the process of developing three resources for prayer:


• Synod Prayer Calendar

• Synod Prayer Network

• Daily Devotions
 

As we develop these prayer ministries, you can be a part of this venture. We need two things:

(1) Information – dates, events, concerns – from congregations, committees, partnerships, and individuals to be prayed for.

(2) Brief daily devotions – written by faithful Christians – written by you?
You can help by completing one of the online forms and e-mailing it to prayfaithfully@nglsynod.org or you can download the form and send it to Jean Schmidt, Synod Prayer Coordinator, First Lutheran Church, 1212 Minneapolis Ave., Gladstone, MI 49837.

Our goal is to have things up and running by the beginning of September. The prayer calendar and daily devotions will be available here on the website. The prayer network will communicate via e-mail. Prayer requests should be sent to prayfaithfully@nglsynod.org or telephoned to Jean Schmidt at (906) 428-4565, and the requests will then be sent out to those individuals who have agreed to be “pray-ers.”

We look forward to lifting up in prayer the mission and ministries of our congregations, organizations, committees and partnerships in the Northern Great Lakes Synod and beyond.
