Lutheran Planned Giving

The mission of Lutheran Planned Giving (LPG) is to educate, motivate and assist individuals develop planned gifts for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Northern Great Lakes Synod and congregation ministries as expressions of their gratitude for God’s blessings.

The primary purpose of Lutheran Planned Giving is to serve members in financial planning for today and for the future, and – at the same time – to help advance the work of our church in ways that are important and meaningful to you as an individual member.

Your personal desire to care for family and loved ones is highly respected. To provide for those we love is to practice good Christian stewardship. Through sensitive listening and direction, Lutheran Planned Giving Services may be able to help you achieve your goals.

Another dimension of your stewardship is to provide, as you are able, for the advancement of God’s work. Your Regional Gift Planner can help you plan your gifts to express your values and love for the Lord and support the areas of Christian service which are important to you.

Services to congregations include assistance with the establishment of policies and guidelines which will encourage planned gifts, and the establishment of mission endowment funds that benefit local and worldwide church ministries. Education materials are also available which help members identify various options for gifting. The gift planner is also available to conduct forums, workshops or seminars on planned giving.

Lutheran Planned Giving is a service provided through a partnership of the Northern Great Lakes Synod, the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin, and the ELCA Foundation. The services of the LPG is available to all members and congregations of the synod at no cost and a request for services may be made directly with the Regional Gift Planner, Roger Knuth, at 715-277-3142 or via email at knuthr1@newnorth.net.
