Retired pastors, spouses and widows of pastors recently gathered in Negaunee for the annual synod "Advent Party." It was a great day of food, singing and conversation!
On December 9th, Bishop Skrenes joined Bishop Emeritus Dale Skogman in congratulating Pastor Jon Schmidt as he completed twelve years of service as synod secretary. Pastor Schmidt was honored at his congregation, First in Gladstone.
Orice Walters recently completed eight years as synod vice-president. Bishop Skrenes celebrated with Orice and her congregation, First Ev. Lutheran in Iron Mountain as she was honored on December 16th.
